Route Description:
Difficulty Rating: 0. Route Type: Circular

This scenic route takes in much of the Magalies Meander and the Cradle of Humankind. The race starts with a gentle climb up past Maropeng followed by a fast section down the notorious Hekpoort Hill. The race goes out on the Koster Road to Western Cane and then to the N14 rear Carletonville. There is some work to do before the halfway point, but the second half of the ride is an enjoyable fast and flat affair. The wind is always a factor out on the western most portion of the route that could see lots of guttering coming back along the N14.
