There are four distances to choose from.
The opening stages of the marathon race include a 17 kilometre stretch of the intermediate course. Almost half of the course has purpose built dual and single track sections that explore a new side of Pretoria. Brace yourself for the 100 metre climb in just over a kilometre. Near the 57 kilometre marker you merge with the half-marathon riders to enjoy a combination of mostly gravel roads and dual track to the finish.
The half marathon is not as demanding but even with shorter climbs and rocky surfaces you will find this a fair challenge. There are new stretches in Rosemary Hill and the way home features a river crossing once you have merged with the marathon cyclists. It is both wide and easily passable.
Both the 20 and 10 kilometre fun rides are uncomplicated affairs, well suited to novices and families.
